Your American Depot is a vision of the founder, Jerry Tisdell. When I returned from my overseas military deployment in Vietnam, I started in college. At the time things were difficult and I soon realized that college and the classroom were not for me, so I chose construction. I enrolled in, and finished a four-year union apprenticeship program to become a carpenter. [Today I am a 100% Service-Connected Disabled Veteran and Florida State Certified General Contractor.]
After being badly injured in a fall I went into the management side of the building industry. I noticed that changes began to happen, many of the building products we used started to come from overseas. Over time our supply houses closed, jobs were lost, and building production became predisposed to the availability of our foreign suppliers. The foreign products were inferior, but in the end America’s building industry was consumed by foreign products. Was this fair trade? No!
As veterans, we Protect our home land, our Constitution, our liberty, and freedom. But at the same time. Our Markets are open to foreign trade with products produced using cheap labor.
Can we change this? Yes!
It is, “We the People,” Those everyday Grass Roots Americans who can and will make a difference to bring change for America where change is needed!
Today as a licensed General Contractor in Florida. I know what it takes to build a building. It is not done by any one person, it takes a team, and working together as a team, that building will come to life.
I know fully well that We the People, standing together as one, become a force that will challenge the might of any intent that others may have to destroy the American will. Our challenge is to Find a way to fight on our terms! Build it and bring the America we all knew on board! Yes, build it and they will come.

It is time now to take a stand for America, just as those small business men did in 1775 on a small green at Lexington and Concord. A single shot stated to the world that what those farmers and businessmen fought and struggled to build will not be taken from them easily! Those Americans were more than willing to fight for what they believed in, because they earned it.
What’s at stake for us if we don’t take a stand? Our families, our prosperity, our way of life, our future, Our Very Survival.
